Sweden Rock Festival 2019 - Day 3

Following a good night’s sleep and getting some stuff from a local supermarket, we returned for the third time, to the festival grounds, this time, without having to grind through heavy traffic. We did watch the last song of impressive looking all female Suiss metallers, Burning Witches, after an anemic cover of “Holydiver”, who despite having the 80s aesthetic and sound perfectly figured, sounded quite plain, to make some lasting impression. Maybe in the future, who knows.

Sweden Rock Festival 2019 - Day 2

Due to it, being Sweden’s National Day (Thursday 6th June, as we found out later – Go Sweden!) there was more traffic on the roads than usual, so despite our best calculations, we only managed to arrive midway Blaze Bayley’s show, missing Canadian’s The Wild! completely.

Sweden Rock Festival 2019 - Day 1

After a friend bailed out on us, me and my good friend and huge KISS fan Achilles, got onboard the plane and landed in Copenhagen (since it easier to get to Solvesborg that way) on the 4th. A reasonably priced car hire (100€ for 5 days + 55€ gasoline) and a couple of hours later, we were at the festival site, getting accredited and then off to Immeln (some 40km away – near a lake) where some reasonably priced and idyllic cabin was hired (75€/pp for 5 days) perhaps a little too far from civilization as we found out…

Camden Rocks Festival 2019 – Sunday best of!

We start at The Good Mixer to catch sleazy glam rockers Indya kick off the day’s proceedings. Sounding like a cross between Marilyn Manson and Suzi Quatro, the five piece make one hell of a noise and go over very well with the crowd.

A brief wander down Camden Highstreet takes us to The Lounge Nightclub Kolis. Newcomers Youth Illusion are making one hell of a noise, sounding like a punk band crossed with Biffy Clyro.
