Spurv to release new studio album “Myra” on June 1st 2018

Three years following the release of their second album “Skarntyde”, Norwegian post-rock collective Spurv return with awe-inspiring third studio offering “Myra”.

Recorded at Malabar studio in Oslo by Martin Bowitz (Cold Mailman) in collaboration with Emil Nikolaisen (Serena Maneesh), mixed by Bowitz and Jørgen Smådal Larsen, and mastered by Magnus Lindberg (Cult of Luna), “Myra” features contributions from Kari Rønnekleiv, Moe's Ole-Henrik Moe and Ulver's Tore Ylvisaker & Ole Aleksander Halstensgård.

And So I Watch You From Afar to release new studio album “The Endless Shimmering” on October 20th 2017

Today, Northern Irish rock band And So I Watch You From Afar (ASIWYFA) have announced their return with their new forthcoming album “The Endless Shimmering”. This will be the eclectic quartet’s fifth full length album following on from their widely acclaimed album “Heirs”.

Alongside the announcement of their new album the band have also premiered a new video for the first single from the album entitled “A Slow Unfolding of Wings” - watch it below.

Zaius to release debut album “Of Adoration” on October 6th 2017

Prosthetic Records welcomes Chicago-based four-piece instrumental group, Zaius, to their ever-expanding roster. Formed in 2010, the band explores a lighter, more melodic side of the members' musical tastes without abandoning the metal tendencies that come natural to them.

Ape Shifter - Ape Shifter

Ape Shifter is a new instrumental rock band that was formed by the US born guitarist Jeff Aug, who has released several albums so far but mostly instrumental acoustic guitar ones. Jeff has toured with the legendary Allan Holdsworth (R.I.P.), Soft Machine, Johnny A. and Albert Lee among others. He also holds the Guinness™ world record for the “most concerts performed in different countries in 24 hours” twice (2009, 2012).
 

Tuesday The Sky to release debut album “Drift” on June 30th 2017

Jim Matheos, founding guitarist of legendary US progressive metallers Fates Warning, has announced the release of the debut album from his new Ambient Instrumental Rock project Tuesday The Sky.

The first full-length album “Drift” is set for release on June 30th, 2017, and sees Matheos expanding the boundaries of his sound ever further.

“Drift” came together in the downtime between Fates Warning finishing “Theories of Flight” and the beginning of the touring cycle, enabling Matheos to explore a type of atmospheric and instrumental music you might not expect of him.
