“Yes! I am building a tradition of cantankerous rock songs. "Get Out of My Yard", "Everybody Use Your Goddamn Turn Signal",  "Enemies in Jail", and "Atmosphere on the Moon" (a song about moving to the moon to escape from auto-tuned music on Earth) are melodious rants from my past albums.

Kinetic Element to release new studio album “The Face of Life” on February 28th 2019

Kinetic Element, a band based in Richmond, Virgina (USA) that finally made a mark in the prog world in its tenth year in 2016 by performing at ROSfest and Terra Incognita, and in 2017 at Progtoberfest, has been through some changes in the last couple of years. Sporting a new guitarist and vocalist, and venturing into vinyl for the first time, they composed and recorded their third studio album, “The Face of Life”, during 2017 and 2018.

Vasil Hadzimanov is back with his sophomore release around three years after his debut. This time the virtuoso Serbian keyboardist, composer and arranger is expanding his musical horizons by embellishing his ethnic, Balkan folk, prog rock and jazz/fusion music with atmospheric, R&B, funk, avant garde, psychedelia, trance and electronica elements here and there. Still, the musical experimentations along with the passionate and creative improvisations are here, cuz they are the very essence of this “kind of music”, in a way.
 

Covet celebrate Halloween with “Howl” video

Covet, who are currently on the road with Polyphia, celebrate all things spooky with their newly released video for “Howl”, which can be seen below.

“"Howl" was written as one of the darker toned songs on the album”, explains guitar player Yvette Young of the Tom Flynn directed clip. “I wanted to convey a more bipolar feel when I wrote this song, and I wanted the video to reflect that and be a bit mysterious. The video is basically about the three of us occupying a spooky house and hunting each other down, with flashbacks to nicer times”.

The Neal Morse Band to release new studio album “The Great Adventure” on January 25th 2019

The Neal Morse Band - Neal Morse (lead vocals, guitars, keyboards), Mike Portnoy (drums, vocals), Randy George (bass), Bill Hubauer (keyboards, vocals), Eric Gillette (guitars, vocals) - will take fans on “The Great Adventure” with their latest double concept album due out January 25th, 2019, on Radiant Records via Metal Blade worldwide.

It will be available in three formats: a two CD package, two CD/DVD Special Edition featuring behind-the-scenes video clips of the making of the album, and three vinyl LPs. Pre-orders begin December 4th.
