Affäire to release new studio album “Less Ain’t More” on April 19th 2019

We were all waiting around in baited anticipation, watching for movement by the stage. Then suddenly the lights and music go down, and cheers start calling out. They walked out onto the darkened stage one by one, Satchel and Foxx stand on either side of Stix on raised platforms at the back of the stage. You can just see their silhouettes, with legs astride in proper 80s power poses. Starr walks up to the front of the stage and starts bigging up the crowd, the cheering and clapping rains down in response.

What started some six years ago as an 80s rock show paying tribute to icons such as Van Halen, Mötley Crüe, Aerosmith and Bon Jovi has long developed into a hot, autonomous act with fantastic songs and an impressive stage show: John Diva & The Rockets Of Love, a flamboyant rock band in true 80s style, graced with a talent for breathing fresh air into the classic rock music genre, are scheduled to release their debut album “Mama Said Rock is Dead” on Steamhammer/SPV on February 8th, 2019.

The first band to take the stage was a local Tampa Bay band Pitbull Toddler. Formed in 2008 the band consists of Mike Calta on bass, Greg Galvin on drums, John Brennan guitarist, Josh Maloney vocals, and Pete Larios on guitars. They have been locally voted as the best cover band. It’s easy to see why they were voted this. While they were limited to a short set, they delivered rousing version of staples such as Guns N’ Roses  “Paradise City”, AC/DC’s “Highway To Hell”, and Bon Jovi’s “You Give Love a Bad Name” among others.
 

Vixen to release “Live Fire” on July 6th 2018

Classic 80’s rock veterans Vixen will release “Live Fire” via Rat Pak Records on July 6th, 2018.

Mixed by Michael Wagener, “Live Fire” features 12 live tracks and was recorded at Chicago's legendary Arcada Theater during the group’s successful 2017 tour.

In addition to the classic Vixen songs, the effort also includes a newly recorded studio version of “You Ought to Know By Now”, an all new studio acoustic version of their hit song “Edge of a Broken Heart” and a live version of a previously unreleased track called “Big Brother”.

L.A. Guns announce August/September 2018 UK & European Tour

Frontiers Records recording artist L.A. Guns are excited to announce their return to the UK and Europe.

Featuring founding members, singer Phil Lewis and guitarist Tracii Guns, the tour will kick off August 31st in London and continue with headlining appearances at the HRH Sleaze Festival in Sheffield and Hull Metal Heaven in Hull.

Other highlights include two shows in France, the Raismes Fest and a headline show in Paris, along with shows in Essen and Aschaffenberg, Germany. Complete dates below.

Joining L.A. Guns will be special guests Jared James Nichols and Stone Trigger.
