I remember the way promotion used to be made by all the labels about 12 years ago. They had several promo CD copies that they shared with magazines & webzines around the globe. Certainly this...

Hi Francesco… “Second World” is a truly stunning album… We’ve added in the “Gems” category…

F: Thanks for appreciating, man!

Only two years after “Oionos”, which made you more popular… and you’re back with a new work. You’ve toured a lot all this time period… but never stopped working on new material as well. How hard is it to combine those two things?

When darkness takes over and atmospheric, depressing sounds are echoing though the old town alleys… there’s something wicked and shady that’s entering your deepest nightmares while you’re trying throughout the day phases, Dawn, Sunrise, Morning, Afternoon, Sunset, Evening & Night, to escape these doomed, gothic, gloomy, melancholic & fated obsessions… that are controlling your mind. If there’s no way out… better give in…

Loosening the iron grip of doom (death) metal has been Anathema’s common practice right since mid-90s and even those who didn’t wish to speak in favor of them, now grudgingly own up to their success as a band.

Captivated by the wonderful dim cover artwork… I was eager to listen to their music… I was hoping the music would fit the doomed, shadowy background of the artwork… and hopefully, I was pretty much nicely surprised by When Nothing Remains.

Hi Jon-Arne… Congrats on “March of Ghosts”. We’ve put it in the “GEMS” category…

J: Thank you! Very happy to hear that so many have received the album so well.

Seventh release for the band… and two years after “Missa Atropos”. It seems that you’re on the peak of your creativity.

Troy Donockley has built up a formidable reputation as both a composer/arranger and as a multi-instrumental musician/performer. He is a leading virtuoso of the Uilleann Pipes (and the Low Whistle) and has performed and is known all over the world. His music, which has been described as “A peculiar brand of epic classical-folk-progressive fusion”, can be heard in TV, media and movies (such as 'Robin Hood' and 'Ironclad') and through various commissions.

Hi Clive… why did it take you so long to release a new album? Was it the line-up changes... or something else?

C: We have worked constantly on Arena for ten years and Mick and I particularly agreed it was time to take a break. All the guys in the band had other projects to pursue and this seemed like the right time to step back. `in truth, we never intended that break to be six years.

How hard was to choose Paul Manzi as the singer of the band? The change of a singer is always a hard thing to do... as the fans do not like such kind of changes. Why did you part ways with Rob Sowden, at the first place?
