Black Lips to release new studio album “Satan’s Graffiti or God’s Art?” on May 5th 2017

Atlanta flower punk pioneers Black Lips have announced that their first album in three years, “Satan’s Graffiti or God’s Art?”, is set for release on May 5th, 2017, in the UK through Vice Records.

Produced by Sean Lennon at his studio compound in upstate New York throughout 2016, the album is the group’s most musically evolved to date, while still staying true to their original blistering take on fuzzy, dirty rock n’ roll.

During the recording the band isolated themselves from the outside world, infusing the album with a focused liveliness similar to the spirit that brought them together in the first place.

Cherry Glazerr - Apocalipstick

The LA newcomers that were formed in 2012 are back, as a trio, with their third studio album, titled “Apocalipstick”. Well, this is the case that a band gets more recognition that it deserves and has a great idea about themselves without actually offering anything to music than just fooling around playing some basic music shit that we have heard millions of times before. I know that I’m gonna be hated for this but that’s the truth guys & gals, so you’d better respect it.

Anti Vibe”, the debut LP from London-based garage outfit Spoilers, is a statement, recalling the punchier elements of Dischord Records post-hardcore whilst also drawing inspiration from motorik krautrock rhythms. Brought together by a teenhood friendship and a chance meeting at Deerhunter's ATP Festival, the four-piece cite inspiration from the likes of Fugazi, Sonic Youth, Thee Oh Sees & Male Bonding.

Valient Thorr - Old Salt

Valient Thorr have been around for a few years now and they only recently came out of a contract with their former company and in a new one with Napalm Records, which seems happy enough to take the scraps of American labels tables too, trying to re-sell them over here.

Valient Thorr have beards so they are fashionable as a ticket sale to your average hippy, stoner fan... musically they seem to have scaled down a bit on this album, without exactly changing their style way too much, but going for a more bare and basic version of it… maybe the personnel changes have affected them too, but with all of them sharing Thorr surnames how should I know…
