I remember the way promotion used to be made by all the labels about 12 years ago. They had several promo CD copies that they shared with magazines & webzines around the globe. Certainly this...

Hi Neil & Robb, since it’s the first time we speak can you give us a brief bio of 1476? How& when did it all start?

My personal journey for “new music territories” and new bands/artists is like an eternal journey… sometimes you get to meet new places and discover their appealing music sounds and others “some weird sounds” are coming to you out of nowhere. More or less that’s what happened with 1476… but what exactly is this band all about?

Frontiers Records is pleased to announce the digital release of the first single from BLACKMORE’S NIGHT new album “Dancer and the Moon” entitled “The Moon is Shining (Somewhere Over the Sea)”. This beautiful new song is “Based on an old folk Czech melody which Candice and I thought were very melodic and haunting” says Ritchie Blackmore. “We adapted and arranged to suit more of a rock structure. We also played it as a ballad as it was originally intended. We asked several of our Czech friends what it was called but they couldn’t tell us, so it remains a mystery”.

I was quite longing for this album cuz’ Amorphis used to be a very beloved band to me even from the mid-90s time. I can easily remember how I got the blue vinyl of “Tales…” back in the day and how impressed I was by this band. With “Elegy” their “evolution” took over and that meant the end of the brutal vocals and the heavier parts of the band. Not to be unfair, both “Elegy” & “Am Universum” were very good albums... even though the band changed after them.

Finland’s ENSIFERUM have spent the past 18 years honing the steel of their folk-infused battle metal auditory attack. Their albums are further bolstered by a live show that has become one of the most entertaining in all of metal. Proof of ENSIFERUM’s status as one of the most vital bands in modern metal was made apparent through their headlining slot on this year’s Paganfest USA tour. To further spread the band’s music to a worldwide audience, ENSIFERUM has forged a deal with Metal Blade Records! The band inked the deal with Metal Blade CEO Brian Slagel during the Paganfest USA tour, and all parties are enthusiastic about new music and new possibilities.

The pioneers of oriental metal music and warriors of light, ORPHANED LAND, are going to release their long awaited new album "All Is One" on June 24th (USA June 25TH) 2013.

This release is the bands 6th full length and marks a huge step forward! Today the band revealed the incredible cover artwork for "All Is One" created by the French artist Metastazis (Paradise lost, As I lay Dying, Sonne Adam, Watain...), incorporating perfectly the three signs of the biggest religions as one.

In a crisis that has left 70,000 plus dead, countless more injured and over one million refugees fighting to stay alive, it is imperative to find a common ground and to gather all efforts to decrease the level of suffering. The New York Based, Syrian born, singer-songwriter, Rami, via his project Tristâme, hopes his latest charity release, “Common Ground”, will inspire others to take notice of the civil war that still grips his homeland.

Hi Erik. First of all allow me to congratulate you for your exceptional new album. It was chosen as the Best Album of March on Grande Rock! Well-done!

E: Thank you very much. We are deeply honored that our album was chosen as Best Album of March.

Since it’s the first time we speak, tell us how it all started back in 2001.

E: It was initiated by our keyboardist who wanted to form a project with self-composed music as he was getting tired of playing other peoples music in different cover bands.

After four years of playing shows and gaining fans in the Bay Area and beyond, San Francisco band Biv and the Mnemonics is proud to release their 2nd full-length album, "The Pace", on April 16th, 2013. The band, formerly known as Roy G Biv & The Mnemonic Devices, has produced a ten-track collection of quality songs and energetic harmonies evocative of the great folk-tinged rock of the past, while providing their own unique energy that can't be resisted. "The Pace" is an exciting and imminently listenable album; it's warm, full of catchy melodies and hooks, and brimming with well-thought-out harmonies and eclectic instrumentation.

I happened upon this band out of nowhere. It seems that Norway is having something like a bloom in every rock & metal genre during the last years. I was immediately amazed by the prog rock approach of the band but I was not ready for what I was about to experience. First of all, I have to say that The Windmill started out in 2001 and after some line-up changes and lots of rehearsing they managed to self-release their debut album in 2010, which was entitled “To Be Continued…”. Now, three years later, they’re back, as they promised, with “The Continuation”.
