In the few years of ReVamp’s young existence the band endured many challenges and unexpected circumstances. Heavy winter storms with long periods of suffocating frost! Followed by sudden summer rains with wild streams of water that’s taking everything with it into unknown territory. A survival of the fittest! ReVamp came out stronger, more mature and with darker and more brutal music that tells the tale of this wild ride!
Italian rock noir band BELLADONNA has just released as free download a very noir version of the Guns N' Roses classic love song "Sweet Child O' Mine"!
The band has also published on their YouTube a video of the track, featuring the luscious singer Luana Caraffa at her very noir-est! You can also watch it below.
Much to the excitement of fans across the globe, Chicago melodic rock outfit Circle Of Fate released their new single “The Other Side Of Me” digitally on December 1, 2012. For the last 15 years Circle of Fate has been captivating audiences all over the world and now with their new single, fans of the band will not be disappointed! Lead vocalist and founding member Michele Caruso says, “The song is a punky song about different sides that a woman has to her. You never know what you are going to get. The songs, as always, are open to interpretation to the listener”.
Huldre is a Danish folk/pagan metal band that even though it was formed in 2006, it wasn’t until 2009 that they became a full band. The band has given emphasis to folk melodies, mostly from Scandinavia, with the addition of instruments like hurdy-gurdy, flutes & violin, which play an important role to the band’s music outcome. Hurdy-gurdy is an instrument that has a sound close to Cretan Lyra. The band sings on its native language, thing that will probably appeal to the Danish fans more.
Seven Kingdoms, are a female fronted power metal band hailing from Florida, that seems to draw it’s inspiration from fantasy novels and the like.
“The Fire Is Mine” is their third effort and shows sufficient progression, from their humble and more brutal beginnings, having now evolved in a sleek and elegant, precise, and refined hybrid between say Blind Guardian and Nightwish. A less operatic Amberian Dawn, would be possible a good comparison, I guess.
People, have made, insane, fuss, over this album and I have read RAVING reviews, that call it an ABSOLUTE MASTERPIECE.

If I said I didn’t grin from ear to ear when I was given this album for review, I would lie through my teeth… Amanda Sommerville (lead & backing vocals/keyboards) is such a renowned person from her previous collaborations with various bands (Avantasia, Epica, Kamelot, Angra, After Forever to name but a few) that writing a review became a most enjoyable task. Yet, what I didn’t expect to encounter was this great diversity Trillium has to offer. Amanda herself described it as “more like an expedition with my musical family to explore and celebrate the metamorphosis I’ve gone through as an artist over the past several years. Quite simply, “it’s my new baby”… and I can’t agree more.
Long time no see… indeed! After their debut album (“Fallen”) in 2003 and their second one “The Open Door” in 2006, it took them 5 more years to compose 12 more songs for their third launch (16 with all the bonus tracks)…
