DBA or else Downes Braide Assosiation. Yeap, you’ve got it right. This is a musical collaboration between the famous Geoff Downes and the renowned Chris Braide. Both of them have been very successful in business throughout the years and they have sold millions of albums. Geoff is best known from his works with The Buggles, Asia & Yes, while Chris is more known as a multi-instrumentalist/producer and has cooperated with Sia, Lana Del Rey, Christina Aguilera, Yuna and David Guetta amongst many others.
I’ve always kept an eye on this inimitable band from Poland, which, auspiciously, released its 3rd album almost 3 years after “Soul’s Inner Pendulum”. This time the band has a new singer, Marcin Jajkiewicz, who joined them in 2011. He has a suave & colorful voice and I think that it was a good choice in the main.
It’s quite impressive how a band like Heart made a massive hit single back in the 80s with the cover song “Alone”… which gave the band the push so as to be successful. Surely, they had written their own good songs throughout the years… but honestly, all people tend to believe that “Alone” was a Heart song. They did it their own way of course… but this is one of those strange cases where a band get all the glory with a song that some other artist has written… moreover, the original band that wrote it never gained anything, except for the song credits of course.
One of the break-out releases of 2012, UK electro-acoustic ensemble Auburn's "Indian Summer", has been garnering rave reviews worldwide. Featuring singer/songwriter Liz Lenten, Auburn reunited in 2011 after an almost 10-year hiatus! The group released their critically acclaimed CD "Indian Summer" on May 7, 2012 on Scarlet Records, distributed through Gonzo MultiMedia.
Described as a band that delivers “songs from the heart” by the London Evening Standard, and “Dreamy, moody and atmospheric” by Classic Rock Society, Auburn has been touring the UK in support of their new CD release.
