Kaotoxin Records will release "Hand of Glory" from French instrumental doom act THE LUMBERJACK FEEDBACK on July 2nd in France and August 6th in the UK and U.S.
Let me start by saying that this might just be the hardest review I had ever had to write and that the rating above is just my personal opinion.
- “Hey dude what’s up? What are you listening?”
- “Hey, I’m listening to Black Sabbath, they are truly awesome. They are my favorite band!”
- “Mine too! You know I can play the guitar!”
- “Cool I can sing too and know two other guys who can play the bass and the drums as well.”
- “Great! Let’s make a band then!”
- “Swell! Well shall we be called Dark Sabbath?”
- “No, they will make fun of us.”
- “Ohh crap. Shall we be called Black Sabbat?”
- “Hmm, good but they will understand that our major influence is Black Sabbath right away.”

This Indianapolis based heavy rock act needs no extensive presentation for they all know who DtP are and what they are doing. “Fate is Your Muse” is the band’s fourth full-length release in a more than a 10-year career since 2002 when they started.
In their own words: “it’s all about the riffs, man”… and in a way they do make this thing reality. Heavy rock music with sludge, doom, southern, blues & rock & roll passages along with the apt amount of heaviness & dirtiness. The “muddy” & full production adds the final touches to the final outcome.

After their long hiatus in the 00s, October Tide returned three years ago and have started working hard. This is the band’s second release since their comeback with “A Thin Shell” in 2010. Nowadays there’s also a former Katatonia member on the bass, Matthias Norrman, and a new singer, Alexander Högbom (Spasmodic, Volturyon).
Hailing from Gefle (Gävle), the eldest town in Norrland, EREB ALTOR are the newest members of the Cyclone Empire hordes. As EREB ALTOR are a already a well known force in the metallic underground scene, most metalheads should already be aware of their breathtaking hymns full of power and might somewhere between Viking, Doom and Black Metal always in praise of Swedish godfather Thomas Börje Forsberg (better known as Quorthon) and his musical heritage. After already three fantastic albums the three warriors Mats, Ragnar and Tord are now laying final hands on their fourth masterpiece "Fire Meets Ice"… be pepared for a release in the coming months!!!
Second release for the doomsters Devil, and despite their short existence, they seem ready to gather all the doom metal maniacs around them. Keeping all the traditional elements of the Godfathers Black Sabbath and other significant bands like Saint Vitus, Pentagram, Pagan Altar, Witchfinder General and the rest, they prove that the new doom generation has something good to offer as well.
Having updated their production, in comparison to their debut, but still possessing that “muddy-dark” sound, Devil added a bit groove to some of their tunes and a few garage features to others. The doom atmosphere is present in all the songs though, do not be carried away not for a sec.

Resonance Room are striking back with their second release 4 years after their debut album. Positively, more matured & mindful than before they’re making a step further in comparison to their debut. Their Katatonia, Anathema, Tiamat, Sentenced, Lake of Tears, To/Die/For, Type O Negative & Porcupine Tree influences among others are starting to take a better shape for the band’s own shake.
