Nuclear Blast feels honoured to welcome Swedish doom metal kings WITCHCRAFT to the family!
After a 5 year hiatus, the band is currently recording the follow up to 2007's "The Alchemist" together with renowned producer Jens Bogren at Fascination Street Studios (KREATOR, OPETH, AMON AMARTH, PARADISE LOST, KATATONIA...).
The albums working title is set to "Legend" and will feature the bands new guitarists and drummer for the first time:

Certainly, they all bow to the mighty Black Sabbath… that are the godfathers of doom metal… and not only.

They say that when something is ending… then surely something new will come up eventually… so that seems to be the case here with the Austrian Crimson Cult… a band which was formed by Günter Maier (guitar & keys) and Alex Hilzensauer (bass) who were on Stygma IV. I have had the chance to follow the band since 2008… when they took shape… and I also listened to their debut album in 2009.
Captivated by the wonderful dim cover artwork… I was eager to listen to their music… I was hoping the music would fit the doomed, shadowy background of the artwork… and hopefully, I was pretty much nicely surprised by When Nothing Remains.
This is the sophomore release of the Finish band’s acclaimed debut, “Curse of the Red River” back in 2010. The members of Amorphis, Swallow The Sun, Kreator and Moonsorrow… had excited most of the fans with this nice mix of 70s prog rock, doom, death & melodic metal… so the second album was somehow awaited by most of the fans that liked the debut.
PARADISE LOST have teamed up with Decibel Magazine in the USA to give fans a gold-on-black flexi disc for the exclusive b-side "The Last Fallen Saviour"! This track will only be available in Decibel's June issue (out in May), and it comes from the recording sessions of "Tragic Idol", the band's forthcoming studio album that is set to be released through Century Media Records on April 23rd in Europe and April 24th in North America.
Swedish Melodic Gloom Lords OCTOBER TIDE have officially inked a worldwide deal with Pulverised Records! Shortly a year after OCTOBER TIDE announced their reformation, the band wasted no time and went on to release the acclaimed new album after eleven years with "A Thin Shell".
Come 2012, OCTOBER TIDE is currently preparing and hard at work on the untitled new album, which will once again precipitate some serious mournful tunes and the beauty of darkness and sorrow have never been so sonically enchanting.
The talented Swedish stoner/doom/70s rock band, THE GRAVIATORS, will release the 7" single "Häxagram" on 27 April. "Häxagram" is an appetizer to their highly anticipated second full length, which is tentatively schedule for an August release.
