Manifesting a sound so poisonous, polluted, and nihilistic that “sludge”, “doom”, “funeral” and “death” are the only words close to suitable in description, the Midwestern outfit are overpowering and relentless at a city-leveling volume like a Sisyphean artillery brigade cursed to push two hundred tons of speaker cabinets uphill forever.

Finnish Death Metal trio Desolate Shrine will release new album “Deliverance from the Godless Void” on November 10th, 2017, via Dark Descent Records.

The album's opening track, “The Primordial One”, is streaming below.

It may be Desolate Shrine's fourth album (third on Dark Descent Records) in six years, but the band shows no sign of fatigue on their newest opus. The band continues to erase the already thin line existing between black, death and doom and once again come out of the abyss with their own instantly recognizable style.

Spectral Voice to release debut full-length album “Eroded Corridors of Unbeing” on October 13th 2017

After no less than five demos/rehearsals and two splits, Colorado's Spectral Voice are finally crossing the Styx and delivering their first proper full-length “Eroded Corridors of Unbeing”... and it is gigantic.

While things appear quite straight-forward on paper (the band has never hidden their love of roughly mixing early and down tuned Finnish death metal with extreme doom in an acid bath) there's something quite unique about them. Instead of weakening their impact, their rawness and vast sound only emphasizes their genuine thirst for darkness.
