To celebrate their 21st year of activity, italian thrash/death metal master S.R.L. are about to release a compilation of tracks entitled “Unus Et Viginti” (the number 21 in latin). The EP contains 7 songs taken from the very early days of the band, formed back in 1992, and all the songs has been rearranged and completely re-recorded. Two of them, “84° Parallelo” and “S.R.L.” were previously unreleased, although they were played several times in the old time live-shows.
DDRIVE have been hard at work on their follow up to the critically acclaimed album “3D” which was released in the summer of 2010. The band has never been one to rush a project as they believe quality of their recordings is more important than the quantity of releases. DDRIVE are keeping a tight lid on the details of the new album, but promise that the fans of DDRIVE and fans of rock ‘n’ roll will not be disappointed. The new album should see a late fall release.
15 years of Freedom Call, 15 years of top melodic metal with definite anthem potential: the German band surrounding vocalist/guitarist Chris Bay are set to release their anniversary offering, "Ages of Light", on 29 April 2013 (Germany: 26 April 2013, USA: 7 May 2013). "Ages of Light" is a best-of double album full to the brim with the 18 most important songs from the band’s history, plus a bonus CD entitled "Masqueraded" featuring six Freedom Call tracks in a new, unusual guise. The stylistic range includes folk, reggae, rockabilly, ska and swing, so get ready for a surprise!
On Friday 22nd February, inakustik will release a compilation of three rare and previously unreleased German concerts recorded and filmed in 1989, 1995 and 2000, from the Canadian blues rock guitarist, Jeff Healey.
Entitled “Jeff Healey - As The Years Go Passing By: Live in Germany 1989 - 1995 - 2000”, the concerts will be released as a 3 CD-set, and as a Deluxe Edition 3CD + 2DVD. The latter includes an extensive booklet featuring contributions from the participating musicians, plus rare photos.
