Satan’s Empire sign with Dissonance Productions and announce new album “Hail the Empire”

NWOBHM underground Metallers Satan’s Empire sign to Dissonance and release their second album “Hail the Empire” in October this year.

Drummer Magpie had this to say:
“Really happy to sign with the UK’s premier metal label and we really think we will deliver the album we really think we are capable of. We have been working hard on the songs and pre production and are really looking forward to working with Steve Grimmett at his Samurai Studios”.

Sweden Rock Festival 2019 - Day 4

Dog tired, by the fourth day, we arrived a little later than usual, missing, nice Swedish hard glam rockers Dust Bowl Jokies, funky Canadian corpo rockers Danko Jones, as well as the vintage propositions of Jared James Nichols. We got to watch a tiny bit of Electric Boys on the Rock Stage, who were damn fine….

Mirror

Hi Jimmy… congratulations on your great sophomore effort. “Pyramid of Terror” has been chosen as the Best Album of the Month on Grande Rock!

J: Thank you very much!

Firstly the band went through some line-up changes. What prompted those and was locality a main factor in your decision about new members?

Holy Tide present lyric video for new single “Lamentation”

International Heavy Metallers Holy Tide reveal the second song from their upcoming debut album “Aquila” with an amazing official video for “Lamentation”, which sees the presence of a great special guest on vocals: Tilo Wolff from Lacrimosa.

The animated video, edited by Adhiira Art, offers a picture of Holy Tide’s sound made of melodic Heavy Metal, Progressive elements and a great powerful and catchy essence emphasized by Tilo’s voice.

Saint Vitus - Saint Vitus

Saint Vitus formed in the late 70s as Tyrant and debuted with a strong one-two of an eponymous EP and “Hallow’s Victim”. They hardly had many personnel changes in all those years, with the main difference being if original vocalist Scott Reagers or Wino was behind the mic, with even Lord Vicar’s Christian Linderson (also ex-Count Raven, Terra Firma etc), managing to cut an album though in his brief tenure with the band.

RAM announces September 2019 European Headlining Tour

On September 13th RAM will release their new album “The Throne Within”! The unstoppable Swedish Heavy Metal machine will take no prisoners on this one, instead they will roam again the streets of Europe and kick off their tour a day prior album release on September 12th in Hamburg, Germany.

Very special guests on this run will be their Metal Blade labelmates Vulture! A third band is yet to be announced.

European Tour Dates 2019:

Sweden Rock Festival 2019 - Day 3

Following a good night’s sleep and getting some stuff from a local supermarket, we returned for the third time, to the festival grounds, this time, without having to grind through heavy traffic. We did watch the last song of impressive looking all female Suiss metallers, Burning Witches, after an anemic cover of “Holydiver”, who despite having the 80s aesthetic and sound perfectly figured, sounded quite plain, to make some lasting impression. Maybe in the future, who knows.

Sweden Rock Festival 2019 - Day 2

Due to it, being Sweden’s National Day (Thursday 6th June, as we found out later – Go Sweden!) there was more traffic on the roads than usual, so despite our best calculations, we only managed to arrive midway Blaze Bayley’s show, missing Canadian’s The Wild! completely.

Sweden Rock Festival 2019 - Day 1

After a friend bailed out on us, me and my good friend and huge KISS fan Achilles, got onboard the plane and landed in Copenhagen (since it easier to get to Solvesborg that way) on the 4th. A reasonably priced car hire (100€ for 5 days + 55€ gasoline) and a couple of hours later, we were at the festival site, getting accredited and then off to Immeln (some 40km away – near a lake) where some reasonably priced and idyllic cabin was hired (75€/pp for 5 days) perhaps a little too far from civilization as we found out…
