Darkthrone to release new studio album “Old Star” on May 31st 2019

The legendary Norwegian longstanding partnership of Fenriz and Ted “Nocturno Culto” Skjellum, Darkthrone, return with their first studio album since 2016’s hugely popular “Arctic Thunder”, in the shape of “Old Star”.

With a mastery and endless dedication to the art of the riff, the Norwegian legends cut through 6 new epic tracks, taking in the best of the old school of heavy & extreme metal plus a large dose of doom-laden riffing, & channelling it through the grime of the underground.

Midnight - Sweet Death and Ecstasy

Sweet Jesus! Its colourfully ribald and chthonic cover art withstanding, Jameson Walters, a.k.a. Athenar’s solo black speed metal venture Midnight raucously plays out like an extension of his early Boulder days; in other words, the manic Ohioan jack-of-all-trades continues to “live it up” with similar romping camp and revved up, at times gratifyingly slack musicianship as the latter’s unforgettably engaging “The Rage of it All” from 1999.

Howling Sycamore to release self-titled debut album on January 26th 2018

Multi-talented guitarist and producer, Davide Tiso (Ephel Duath, Gospel of the Witches), has announced the formation and signing of extreme progressive metal outfit, Howling Sycamore, to Prosthetic Records.

Tiso elaborates: “Howling Sycamore was born from the stubborn idea of melting together different styles of heavy music into something powerful, sincere and with a strong identity. I wanted to mix extreme metal drumming, layered down-tuned guitars and old school prog metal singing. I'm so grateful that these amazing musicians helped shape the album into the beautiful weirdness that it became”.

Venom Inc to release new studio album “Avé” on August 11th 2017

Regardless of your take on black metal forefathers Venom, they are the undisputed originators of extreme metal as we know it. Almost 40 years after their inception, the revitalized 1989-1992 line-up of guitarist Jeff “Mantas” Dunn, vocalist/bassist Tony “Demolition Man” Dolan and drummer Anthony “Abaddon” Bray have returned with a monster of an album.

After months of anticipation, Venom Inc will release their upcoming full-length opus, entitled “Avé”, on August 11th, 2017, via Nuclear Blast.

Venom Inc announces Fall 2017 North American Tour

Venom Inc just finished up a huge performance at this past weekend's Blackest Of The Black festival in Silverado, CA.

The Evil Dead - Earth Inferno

The Evid Dead, apart from a fan series of movies featuring the godly Bruce Campbell, is an Argentinian quintet that seems to perform something that I could not describe any differently that classic metal, but with vocals that sound a bit like Dissection only a little dodgier.

While the antithesis is supposed to create intrigue and draw the listener to this, the two distinct styles mix as good as water and oil (ie not at all) ending up in a rather decent album musically, if only a little too straightforward, being mangled by the lack of a convincing vocalist. If I were them I’d be holding auditions for a clean singer now.

Venom Inc signs with Nuclear Blast Records

In mid-2015, former Venom member Tony “Demolition Man” Dolan, together with original members Jeff “Mantas” Dunn and Tony “Abaddon” Bray, formed a second incarnation of Britain's seminal black metal band. After coming together under the flag Venom Inc, history began to write itself once again.

Now, after proving their lasting prowess on the road and at festivals internationally throughout the past year, the band is pleased to announce their signing with premier international heavy metal label Nuclear Blast Records. The band is scheduled to release a new album this year - more details coming soon!
