New York City-based drummer Dan Weiss will release his latest full-length album, “Starebaby”, on April 6th, 2018, through acclaimed jazz label Pi Recordings.

Encompassing elements of improv jazz, avant rock, technical metal, and suspenseful soundtrack auras, the album lineup features accomplished musicians from across the jazz and metal circuits joining Dan Weiss, including Matt Mitchell, Craig Taborn, Ben Monder, and Trevor Dunn (Mr. Bungle, Fantômas, Tomahawk, Secret Chiefs 3).

Stick Men - Prog Noir

There may have been almost 3 years since their previous album “Deep”, but time does not really matter for progressive “weird” acts such as Stick Men. You see, when others are trying to find ways to become more fan friendly and “popish”, there are some bands that are making strange prog music that’s hard to get, if you do not give it time and several listens. Needless to say, Stick Men is one of those bands!

Virus - Memento Collider

Virus is a bizarre case, a band coming out of the ashes of Ved Buens Ende and other bands Czral (sic) was involved in... just like them they indulge in this weird heavy on psych, avant garde experimental style that’s intentionally lo/fi and fuzzy.
Minimalist and concentrated performances that lapse into several minute compositions and flimsy mocking vocals that exalt equally odd lyrics, make this fourth album by the band another foray into eccentricity that a lot of extreme metallers seem to enjoy.

Virus reveals the cover artwork of their upcoming album “Memento Collider” - due out on June 3rd 2016

The 3rd of June 2016 has been set as the release date for “Memento Collider”, the fourth full-length album from Experimental Hard Rockers Virus.

The album, with cover art by the Trine + Kim Design Studio, will appear on Karisma Records, who recently signed the band.

Whilst no further details about “Memento Collider” are currently available, the self-styled wayward Norwegian trio will give fans a taste of what is to come at Blastfest in Bergen on the 18th February, where they will showcase several tracks from the album.

Ulan Bator to release “Abracadabra” on January 26th 2016
