New York death metal veterans, SUFFOCATION, have just confirmed European tour dates for 2013.

 

The band also have announced that John Gallagher of DYING FETUS will be filling in. Gallagher will be temporarily taking the place of vocalist Frank Mullen due to his other personal commitments. 

 

Frank Mullen commented: 

There’s a weird story behind this band. They have been around for almost 20 years, they were an instrumental band, named after the original names of its members but since 2006 there’s been no one of those founding members in the band!
 

After finishing off a very eventful and busy past year of promotions for their previous album release, "Bilateral", acclaimed Norwegian Progsters LEPROUS had directly entered studios to start the recordings for their next album after wrapping up their "European Progressive Assault" headlining tour in September-October 2012.

 

The new album is entitled "Coal" and will be released on May 20th, 2013 in Europe and May 28th, 2013 in North America via InsideOut Music.

 

I never understood why this band became so huge, in numbers of course, in such as short notice. This kinda of nu metal, metal-gay-core, alternative, modern, pissed off, gay-gressive music is not only devoid of quality but generally it has nothing to offer. Anyhow, the teenagers thought it was good and embraced it, so the band sold more than well.
 

Aspiring Finnish thrash metal youngsters LOST SOCIETY proudly present the official video clip for the song “KILL (Those Who Oppose Me)”, taken from their terrific debut album “Fast Loud Death” that will be released via Nuclear Blast on March 15, 2013!

 

The video was shot in the boys’ home town Jyväskylä together with director and Legion of the Damned front man Maurice Swinkels, who states:

Coma is a heavy/thrash metal band from Sardinia. Even though “Mindless” is the band’s debut album, they have existed for over a decade. All this time they have released several demos but it was in  2012 when they started working on their first full-length release.
 

Montreal extreme metal veterans CRYPTOPSY are set to embark upon a 24-date European tour with CATTLE DECAPITATION and DECREPIT BIRTH.

 

The tour will kick off on April 12th at Helvete in Oberhausen, Germany and conclude with an appearance at the Neurotic Deathfest in Tilburg, Holland on May 5th.

Among the various promos that we receive each & every day, there are some bands that catch our attention at once, while others need a few spins so as to get them. I do not think that a good album must necessarily get your attention from the very first listen neither that it must always require lots of spins. Good albums are among all the categories no matter what. This time it was the newest, fourth, full length album by Masterstroke that struck me from the moment I played it.
