Opening his set with a joyous run through of Muddy Water’s “Tiger In Your Tank” , Joe proceeds to play a superb set of songs from his most recent album “Blues of Desperation”. While the album is very good, it’s live that the songs really come into their own, with a horn section giving them that extra boost of energy.
 

Ricky Warwick signs worldwide deal with Nuclear Blast and announces new solo album “When Life was Fast and Hard”

Ricky Warwick (Black Star Riders, Thin Lizzy, The Almighty) announced today that he has signed a worldwide deal with Nuclear Blast for his solo album releases. Further, he also announced that he has begun recording his latest solo offering, “When Life was Fast and Hard”.

Playing on the album are Ricky Warwick (vocals & guitars), Robert Crane (bass), Keith Nelson (guitars) and Xavier Muriel (drums), as well as several special guests.
 

Sad Planets release music video for new single “Just Landed”

Sad Planets – John Petkovic (Cobra Verde, Sweet Apple, Guided by Voices, Death of Samantha) and Patrick Carney (Black Keys) – has just released a new video for “Just Landed”.

The video for the lead track off Sad Planets’ debut album “Akron, Ohio” – out April 19th, on Tee Pee Record – features J Mascis on lead guitar.

Saver to release debut full-length album “The First Step in Leaving” on May 9th 2019

Philadelphia rock band Saver will release debut LP “The First Step in Leaving” on May 9th, 2019.

The album was recorded by Trevor Leonard (The End Of America, Punchline, Triangle Shirt Factory, Valencia), at The Gradwell House Recording Studio in Haddon Heights, NJ.

The Quireboys release lyric video for new single “Seven Deadly Sins”

Sad Planets to release debut album “Akron, Ohio” on April 19th 2019

The debut album “Akron, Ohio” by Sad Planets will be released on April 19th, 2019, via Tee Pee Records.

The band consist of John Petkovic (Cobra Verde, Sweet Apple, Guided by Voices, Death of Samantha) and Patrick Carney (The Black Keys). The album also features a guest appearance by J Mascis (Dinosaur Jr.; also plays with Petkovic in Sweet Apple).

David J to release new 7" single “Thoughts and Prayers” on April 13th 2019

The Schoolkids Records label has announced the new “Thoughts and Prayers” 7" single from David J, which will be released for Record Store Day.

This will be issued on limited edition vinyl in a run of only 500 copies. This is the first great protest song of the year, exclusively for RSD 2019.

The Quireboys cancel their Pledge Campaign

The Quireboys have canceled their Pledge Campaign with immediate effect… but there’s a solution...
