On Friday June 8th and Saturday June 9th, the core members of Queensryche will debut their new band “Rising West” at the Hard Rock Cafe in Seattle WA. Rising West features Michael Wilton, Eddie Jackson, Scott Rockenfield, and Parker Lundgren of Queensryche, with powerhouse vocalist Todd La Torre of Crimson Glory. The band will be performing rare and classic hits from the first 5 Queensryche albums and plan on hitting the studio sometime early summer to begin recording their first release.
Swedish riff gods GRAND MAGUS have released an album preview of the of their new masterpiece “The Hunt”.

"Hello friends!
Time for some album(s) news. Wintersun's "Time" is going to be two albums, titled "TIME I" & "TIME II". We made this decision simply because of few reasons:
- All the 80min of material won´t fit on a regular CD and we didn´t want to cut anything out.
Katatonia, the Swedish purveyors of dark rock/metal, have announced that their ninth studio album, due to be released on Peaceville Records on August 27th (EU) and August 28th (US), will be titled "Dead End Kings". A continuation of 2009’s inspired & acclaimed "Night is the New Day", as well as a leap forward into the unknown, "Dead End Kings" sees the quintet conjure yet another milestone in audial melancholy & angst.
Perhaps better known as the keyboardist and musical mastermind behind Twinspirits, Genius Rock Opera, Cosmics and Khymera; the multi-talented Daniele Liverani is also a guitarist of considerable skill as his new instrumental album "Eleven Mysteries" will testify on 20th July 2012 (Lion Music).
While “Eleven Mysteries” is basically a guitar oriented album, the overall vibe of all the songs is definitely more like a “conceptual instrumental album” where guitar has the role of a “virtual singer”.
Metal Guitar Master Joe Stump will release his 9th solo album entitled "Revenge Of The Shredlord" through Lion Music on 17th August 2012.
The album was engineered and mixed by Grammy award winning engineer Ducky Carlise (Buddy Guy, Johnny Winter) and mastered by Maor Appelbaum (Halford, Yngwie Malmsteen, Armored Saint, Angra, Sepultura) at Appelbaum mastering.

Allan has just finished a very successful European Tour Chapter One with Jimmy Haslip and Virgil Donati, and will take a much deserved break this whole Summer & September.
Another European tour, Chapter Two, is happening in October and early November, featuring Anthony Crawford on bass and Virgil Donati on drums.
Here below are confirmed dates, more dates to be announced in Belgium, France, and possibly Spain and Portugal and/or Italy.

The follow-up to NILE’s latest state-of-the-death-metal-art release, Those Whom the Gods Detest (2009), will be released via Nuclear Blast Records on June 29 (Europe) and July 3 (North America).
