Gotthard
is on fire… anyone can see that many years now. The band is like
having a second chance to succeed and it has taken full advantage of
it. It’s simply magnificent. This Swiss band is delivering excellent
qualitative melodic hard rock music by staying true to the rock music
formulas and by being smart and inspired at the same time.
“Domino
Effect” picks up from where “Lipservice” left… the production
is awesome and the band rocks like hell! The first 5 songs of the
album left me speechless… I think that if the album had only those 5
songs then I would surely consider it as a hard rock diamond.
Thankfully the album does not only have 5 songs but 14 (!) and believe
me the quality is on high levels throughout the album. If you want
rockin’ songs with beautiful memorable choruses then listen to songs
like: “Master Of Illusion”, “Gone Too Far”, “Domino Effect”,
“The Oscar Goes To You” (or shall I call it “Anytime, Anywhere”
part II?), “Heal Me” “Letter To A Friend”, “Come Alive”
and sing all day long along with Lee the lyrics. If you also want
heartbreak dramatic ballads, then songs such as: “Falling”, “The
Call” (the first single and video of the album), “Tomorrow’s
Just Begun” and “Where’s Love When It’s Gone”, will make you
“taste” the bittersweet of love and life.
Honestly,
I’m totally surprised by this album music quality… those Swiss
guys made it once again… they surely released the best album of
their carrier to date. I think that If I write more things about this
masterpiece I will ruin the fantastic atmosphere of the album. I
won’t recommend to everyone to get this album… you ought to get it
if you love rock music… you ought to get it if you are a music lover…
you ought to get it if you respect yourself. Thus having said… I
will travel again in the band’s beautiful musical pictures…
